About Murray Carter
Founding director and senior practitioner of Future Path, Murray’s life experiences have been vast and wide-ranging. With a background in Human Resources, Sales, Business Administration, Career Coaching and Hypnotherapy, his passion is to help people overcome the obstacles holding them back from achieving the goals and success that they want.
Murray is a member of the New Zealand Association of Professional Hypnotherapists Inc (NZAPH), and completed his training as a hypnotherapist with Alpha Hypnosis, Auckland in 2004. He is a registered supplier of hypnotherapy services to ACC clients and undergoes regular supervision (peer review) to ensure his methods of treatment remain current and within professional guidelines.
Before becoming a registered hypnotherapist, Murray had an extensive career in Sales Management with Adecco Personnel and Executive Placement with Advanced Personnel as well as contracts in recruitment for Spark NZ. His experience includes being Adecco’s NZ National Sales Manager responsible for $40 million in annual sales and management of the sales team as well as large recruitment projects involving 400 temporary staff for the America’s Cup campaign and 150 flight attendants.
Murray has a Graduate Diploma in Business Administration from the University of Canterbury. He has provided personalised coaching services in leadership and career transition for people at all levels of seniority across all industry sectors.
About Hypnotherapy and Hypnosis
On average, humans experience around 50,000 thoughts a day of varying degrees of helpfulness. Negative habits and thought processes can be the result of harmful and unpleasant experiences during childhood as the brain interprets these thoughts as normal and ‘cements’ them into place as an adult.
